Through a range of interactive exercises, you’ll delve into the rhythmical realm, mastering basic clapping techniques and synchronizing your counting to a steady beat.
Reading Music
Before you know it, you’ll soon become well-versed in the language of music, effortlessly recognizing note names, rests, and an array of other musical symbols and terminology.
Playing Simple Tunes
By practising short, technical exercises, you will be surprised at how quickly you begin to pick up simple tunes. A sure way to build confidence an and accomplishment.
Technique and Posture
We emphasise the need for proper hand positioning, finger placement and overall body posture from the first lesson. Getting these basics correct from the off ensures bad habits do not creep in (which can cause delays to progress). We provide checklists for parents and carers to ensure these basics are observed whilst practising at home.
Ear Training
Learning to recognise pitches, tones, and musical patterns is an integral part of your musical journey and will be taught from an early stage.
Creative Expression
As you progress, you might want to explore improvisation and creation of you own original music. At your pace of course.
Practice Routine
The more you are able to practise between lessons, the quicker your progress will be. We do realise people have busy lives but do try to think about when you are able to build time to practise into your day. Even fifteen minutes every day will reap rewards.
